Let's be honest: there is nothing worse than wrestling a tight slow-feed net over a 1,000lb round bale in an Alberta winter. That's why I started Alberta Bale Feeders.
I designed this hinge so you just lift the heavy-duty lid and drop your bare round bale right in with your tractor. No stretching, pulling, or fighting tangled nets
Our heavy-duty 1.8” mesh is integrated directly into the steel frame. It mimics natural grazing, slows down greedy eaters, and stops your expensive hay from being trampled into the dirt.
Every feeder is hand-finished with our signature burnt-wood wildlife and mountain designs. It’s heavy-duty farm equipment that actually looks beautiful sitting in your field.

What size bales will fit, and how do I load them?
Our standard hinged top-load feeders easily accommodate massive round bales up to 6 feet 10 inches. Just lift the lid and drop the bale straight in with your tractor. Don't have a loader that lifts that high? No problem—we also custom-build front-loaded feeders. Just let us know what you need when you order!
Do you deliver, or is it pick-up only?
You are welcome to pick up your feeder directly from eagle hill, Alberta, at no extra cost. If you need it brought to your farm, we also offer delivery across Alberta for an additional fee. Just text or call us with your location for a quick quote.
What are the exact dimensions of the standard feeder?
Our standard custom slow-feed round bale feeder measures a spacious 6' 10" wide by 6' 10" long, and sits at a highly accessible 32" tall.
Can I get a custom size or a different net size?
Absolutely. While our standard is a 6'10" x 6'10" frame with a 1.8" slow-feed mesh, we can customize both the dimensions and the netting size to perfectly fit your farm's needs. (Note: Custom orders require a 50% upfront deposit, and prices will vary).
